hi all im dave a newbie need a little help please i have a 2000 dispatch panel van and the wires for the stereo have been CHOPPED so no blocks does any one no what wires are what please and if the colours in all van are the same cheers for any help

Never have to have a proper look TBH but the norm is yellow and red are live. Red being constant and yellow ignition. Multimeter or bulb with confirm. When sussed try the black as earth. If yes the rest will be speakers.

Just don't do what I did once. "I'll just connect up the wires to my phone's headphone socket to these speaker wires"
A frying sound and a smell of smoke later I realised those speaker wires were the 12V feeds

I'm having bit of similar issues with mine ("new") the Clarion old type radio to connect properly too.

In short new radio doesn't have the connector what was fitted on my original LUXIOURY van model, to have radio controls on the steering wheel.
However, I've got Parrot Bluetooth "in-between" harness for it that works as plug both ends something at the end to look like

That I would presume, would be of the same or at least similar coulours to understand which is which and in doing so be a half ready product to be connecting in to radio perhaps?
