Air Conditioning

I have a 2010 Expert 2 litre engine code RHK I believe.
My air conditioning isn’t working. Long story is I bought the van last year with the air con not working, compressor bad making lots of noise. This year about a month ago I changed the compressor and the condenser which included the drier and then had it gassed. It worked which was fabulous and then the next day, and ever since, it hasn’t.
Some peculiar symptoms I noticed on the day it was working was (1) a knocking noise, like pipes hitting against something I guess, when I was stationary at lights and only when I turned the blower fan on (knocking stopped when I turned the blower off) and (2) I never once heard the fans for the radiator come on to cool the system (I assume they would when stationary for example when the weather is very hot which it was 30°C).
Does anyone have an idea what the problem might be? Or is this a question akin to how long is a piece of string?
*also I did check the clutch on the compressor and it’s not engaging when I press the air con button

Re: Air Conditioning

This happened with my Focus tdf a few years ago. Air con stopped working and and it was down to the fan not working. The fan had failed due to a known wiring issue, that I had ignored. End result the engine overheated and one of the injectors started to leak causing another known fault (that ford would not admit to) ie hard carbon in the engine leading to turbo failure. That was the end of that.
Anyway fan failure was the cause of the aircon clutch not engaging.
