Anyone want front drivers and (single) passenger seat from 2006 Expert 1.9D? Both very good condition. Seems a shame to throw them out but due to a change in circumstances I need them gone! Can post pictures later …

Most decent of you, shame about how har that'd be for me to get to and then the hassle of changing them over... But considering I've those twin passenger seats and had a couple passengers for a half an hour drive. They said it was comfortable as sitting in Rolls Royce glove box.
Photos would be good, but I'm sure someone else will snap them on the word of it, as especially driver seats are so poorly designed and made, I haven't seen a single one without side falling apart.
Cheers!

How've you managed to get a single passenger seat? I didn't think they came with any
Unless it's out of the car version?

I could perhaps use the drivers one but it would be a shame to split the pair if anyone wanted them.. I will leave it a day or two.
I need to have a think about fitting to my swivel anyway.
Does it fold down flat?

Like Caspers the seats are out of my van which is an ex wheelchair access vehicle. I replaced them when I bought two swivel seats off eBay. I’ll check on whether they fold flat when I take a picture of them this morning (they’ve been out a while, I can’t remember!)

Oh they're a gorgeous colour, would go nicely with my van. Like OAT says though, would need to check how they'd fit with the swivel base
Would you be able to measure the distance between the bolts between the actual seat and the base?

Yes will measure tomorrow. They’re in a garage not far from my house but too far to go in the rain and dark haha! They are a standard fitting though as the seats I replaced them with bolted straight in.
Edit: ah yes I see what you mean, I’ll do my best!

It seems they're in demand! You did reply first, are you still wanting them even with the distance?

Nah mate, let someone that can have it, have it! I was only pulling my "emotional" card...

So I’ve hopefully measured the seat bolts. Front, middle and rear are all (approx) 385mm apart. Front to middle 245mm and front to back 330mm. Hope this is helpful!

Well that's far more accurate and helpful measurements than I was expecting! Thanks for the clear annotations
I got my tape measure out and thought brilliant! Mine are 385mm apart too!

Until I realised that those bolts are below the swivel base. Unbolt those, I unbolt the swivel
There are bolts above the swivel but sadly they're significantly narrower (ignore the mess under there)

I can't see any corresponding bolt holes on your seats so it might be a challenge to swap them sadly
I'm still tempted to get creative. Maybe the cushions can be removed and swapped?

Yeah I’m not sure about swapping the cushions … I’d have to go back tomorrow and have another look. You're more than welcome to get creative though!

Unfortunately i have the same issue as Ken. The top plate of the swivel is quite small. To add our riggers to take the seat bolts would raise the seat height and my head can already brush the overhead shelf.

It is a shame, they are hardly worn having come out of a low mileage van in the first place. I’ll hold on to them as long as possible but I really will have nowhere to store them soon. Has anyone any ideas? It’s not exactly something someone wants every day!

Shout up before you end up taking them to the scrapper. If they don't get a new home I'm up for trying out some creative ideas. They look too good to go to waste!

Definitely don't bin those seats. They're the same style as in our 05.
I looked into getting a new drivers seat cushion from Citroen and was quoted over £400.
The problem is they can't be recovered as the foam is sprayed onto the material.
That style drivers seat in such good condition is rare as they're not very hard wearing, the foam breaks down along the edge of the seat and then metal seat frame holes the material

You’re right they were too good to scrap. I should have posted an update though. I found a chap fairly locally with a Dispatch with very ‘raggy’ seats who was delighted with them!
Offline
Shame I couldn't make them work in my van but glad they've gone to a good home
Long may his newly seated Dispatch live on!
