Hi!
My Jumpy says 1.9TD on the sides and Jumpy HDI on the back. Is that the way i should be?
My VIN number is VF7U6UK0012290323.
I don't seem to make out any engine number out of that.

If it's a 1998, it's not the HDi, it'll be 1.9TD (XUD9). Most likely someone's swapped the door
Does your engine look like my XUD9TE 1.9TD?

They look awfully alike, but then again, I'm not a mechanic and they all look pretty much the same to me.
But I've found out that in the 1998 model it was the motor you're referring to. Thanks a lot!!

I reckon Ken's got it right about a new door.
As he says The earlier vans were indirect injection DW8's and XUD's I believe
and nominally 1.9D or 1.9TD.
HDI stand for High speed Direct Injection
and usually 2.0 litre (actually 1997cc) DW10s
It can be confusing
the guy I bought my van off said it was 16Valve
A year later I still have no idea whether it has or not
but don't really care as long as it's reliable and economical.

This is a question we get a lot, I'll put up a post with how to identify engines

It is important. 16v has two camshafts and timing chain inside. Next replacement part.

Wikipedia has a pretty good overview. I'll try to find the link later
