Here we go...

Well after a lot of browsing I'm on the train heading to pick up a  2002 Fiat Scudo, going to start conversion to a camper next week.

Re: Here we go...

Well I got the van, 02 reg Fiat Scudo 1.9 non turbo, 183,000 miles, mot until May next year, van was advertised for £895 on ebay but got it for £625.00, the van drove well back from Bridgnorth to Rhyl not the quickest thing uphill but I knew that. The first job to do is remove the steel bulkhead on Monday as the noise it makes over the slightest bump got a bit too much over 2 hours of driving, I also need to buy the door locator pins as they  are missing on the N/S sliding door.

Good points are 4 matching nearly new tyres, new full exhaust, recent engine service, new front pads and discs, new auxillary belt, cambelt was said to have been changed 18 months ago, clutch 2 years ago all with a few receipts to prove.

Re: Here we go...

Sound a deal. Think i paid 800 for my 1.9D Expert with 170k. Served me well taking it down the Black Forrest. Have you been through Belgium? Some of the motorway hills are amazingly long but you can get 80-85 running up to them and get half to three quarters up before slowing down to 50 and all the trucks you passed now passing you again  lol The hills at the Black Forrest around Todtnau area i was having to pull over to let the trail of cars past. Even managed to get flashed by a speed camera or two so all was not that bad.

TBH i loved the wee van and would still have it today had it been a foot or two larger.
