Nothing more than a pic of the van at Mont Cenis in France. Two weeks into a 6wk trip, only lost a hubcap so far. Don't want to replace since I'll be getting alfa alloys and michelin crossclimates when I get home.

I'm quite envious actually .... At the moment we're waiting for test results from some health issues along with a broken ABS ring/sensor on the van keeping us at bay ...... Although we did decide that the crappy exchange rate was also deterring us from committing to drive down to Spain to my partners fathers place this year..... But I have a feeling in my water that we might throw caution to the wind and go last minute..... Who knows...... Enjoy your trip...

Fingers crossed on the health side Vaz and just get the finger out and visit the inlaw. Even if it was £ for € its still cheaper than UK.
Enjoy the jolly tee-cee and mind the write up when you get home.
Me, i am away in 16 days to euroland. Van failed an MOT today. Fog lamps and a tyre
Bonus. Fog lamp fixed and tyre thursday with a fresh MOT. Decided on a oil filter service. Air filter done. Oil filter and oil done (So i thought) Fuel filter. What a ba*&**D to prime on a big van. Ended up back feeding diesel into the filter and fuel lines. Van running and oil heating up i have a leak at the bloody filter housing. AHHHHHHH.
Sort it tomorrow.

Cheers mate much appreciated ...... Old age doesn't come on it's own.....(Still waiting on partners results) So looks like our Jolly where ever we go will be after 4th October what with grand kid birthdays to attend, hospital appointments...ETC... Might (must try to) find a few days/week to scoot north as a taster... The vans getting a new CV joint (PITA) on Friday seems the (Reluctor ?) ABS ring is cracked and split open ......

Think i still have a 306 CV joint up the loft. Boot missing and retaining ring clip also missing. Im sure Pug are more or less one size fits all from around that era.
tee-cee whats you plans? I will be in euroland in two weeks. Zebrugge on the 22nd heading to Route66 in Luxembourg then over to France for the night. Night in Germany heading towards Lake Como for a few nights. North to Rhine falls for a night and back up to the Mossel before a bike rally in Holland. Should be a blast. Van passed MOT today and I did OIl and all filter yesterday so ready to roll.

Thanks. It's really the tyres that I want. I've been using Vredstein Quatrac 3's but they don't sell them any more, and the Michelins don't come in 14in, so replacing with 15in seems the only option - unless I just go for std tyres.
Anyway Casper, this trip is purely focused on hiking in the French alps, starting at Albertville & working south around Vanoise & Ecrins. The weather can be fickle, espcially at altitude, but the bonus is that the campsites are empty. When it gets too cold we will head south & over to Cherboug for the (first overnight) ferry to Ireland - which should be interesting.
We have hit a bit of milestone now, after 3 and a half years since the camper was built, and 7 trips, we have been to every country in the EU, spending 470 odd nights in the van and driving about 50k miles. It almost feels like we should do something different, but for us everything works perfectly now it seems a shame to change.
Enjoy your trip, and if you find Como a bit commercialised, head over to Lake Oseo which is much quieter.

Not going into Como. Been before and it was not for me. Never had the time then to explore so we are booked into a campsite up the north side what has stunning lake side plots.
