Parking Assistance System Faulty - Dispatch 2014

Good morning.
I recently bought a 2014 Dispatch van. For some reason when I reverse sometimes the parking assistance works and sometimes I get the “Parking Assistance System Faulty” message.
Any ideas of the common reasons why this happens. Things to check etc

Hello Mike.

Don't think there's many here with such new models and I have never driven one with park assist.

But being intermittent might suggest a bad connection or trapped wire or water getting into a sensor or the control unit.

I got a family member who does auto electrics to check it out and turned out to be a faulty sensor. £100 + vat from Citroen but found plenty on eBay for £20 each.
