"Chuffing" injector

I've got a "chuffing" injector on my 2.0Hdi!
It looks like it needs rebedding with a new copper seal.
Anyone had experience of this before??

Yes.... But not in a HDI But I assume one common rail chuffs like much the same as another
You will need a new copper sealing ring and hopefully it hasn't been chuffing long enough to weld it's self in ..........

This is what they call the Black death on Mercedes CDI's

Don't Rotate the injector for fear of leaving the nozzle behind......... clear all black carbon sh** away  to help with extracating the injector............
