Xud filter housing o-rings

Dealer say they don't sell the o rings separately and went to sell me the housing thermostat and bottom seal....... £128!!!!!

Does anyone know what size the o rings are so I can get them from elsewhere please. Need to get them today or tomorrow and get the problem fixed Thursday. Main ones, bottom one (8) because they're always going, and the ones around the thermostat (A) because I think that's where my problem is

Halfords do a smaller set and Aldi had them in as a special buy not long ago what might be worth a look to see if any left

Simplybearings do  oilseals at a very reasonable cost  dia and  cross section ( diameter) I had 2 Suzuki 'o' rings £1.75  , dealer £4.75 each. The sets you get are better than nothing, but the cross sections are usually to big for the appropriate diameter.  For £128 you could get a complete Xantia  and take the filter housing off!

Re: Xud filter housing o-rings

Just to update, I didn't take anything apart in the end as I didn't have time. I lathered the outside of the thermostat bit of the filter housing in silicone and it has worked a treat

Re: Xud filter housing o-rings

Little update, I ran out of time to do anything significant before we set off, so all I did was give the engine (and particularly the filter housing) a quick blast with the jet wash at work, drove home, checked it was dry then just lathered the thermostat bit in silicone sealant that mentioned suitable with fuel. Happy to report, absolutely no problems so happy days
