Finally, I escape in the van to N.Wales

Finally I managed to get away for a few days.

Monday-drove down to N.Wales, had tea near the Bryn Tirion ruins on Denbigh moor, cut over the Ysbyty Ifan road to Ffestiniog, then rolled into a lay by in Maentwrog.

Tuesday-drove into the hills above Harlech to Llyn Cwm Bychan (you can overnight there for £5). Climbed Rhinog Fawr. Drove back and on to Criccieth to visit a friend, returned to Maentwrog to park up.

Wednesday-drove south crossed the estuary at Penmaenpool, followed the coast to Aberystwyth. Raining for most of the day. Parked on the A44 near Plynlimon. Very windy in the night and loads of rain.

Thursday-headed to Llangurig and started north towards Oswestry. Cut off on the A5 to Llangollen and crossed the moors on the Ruthin road. Stopped to see a mate at Llandegla and visited another mate in Cheshire on the way back.

Good run, not worked out the mpg yet.
I'll try and upload a couple of photos.

A sideways view of the river at Maentwrog when I woke up.

Gotta love the old toll bridge at Penmaenpool.

Trying to get my wild goats photo to upload.
