Window Seals/Guides

Any ideas what i can use as a seal/guide in the sliding window of my van? See the top is rotten

They cant be any thicker than 3mm per side and not sure if rubber would stick. That looks some kind of cork that is in already.

Re: Window Seals/Guides

I was going to say a "bit of guide of a series 2 or 3 Land Rover door" but the glass runs direct in that.

Could you cut/whittle to shape a bit or two off the end of one of those white plastic chopping boards ?

Is it meant to be full length of channel or U shaped plug type thing to replace the cork piece ?

Re: Window Seals/Guides

I was looking at car stuff last night vaz2121. They tend to have a O/D of 14mm where mine is only10mm. They also look like they are molded to that 14mm U shape so no hope of squashing in place. If to tight  would think rubber would stick. If i manage this throttle cable today i may get a chance to pop into B&Q and see what they have. Need to go for more poprivets anyway.

Great service but postage is almost £5 but its next day. Fine if you are after a lot as my seal was only £3 odds  smile
