As my light has come on

Have you any clue as to anything that might have triggered it?
If there is a genuine fault, it might not be a good idea to just reset it?
I believe there are places online where you can send your ECU and they will reset for £25 or so. But apart from sending ECU away, I would be concerned about it immediately re triggering when refitted if there is an actual fault.

Thanks for your reply
I think I may have triggered It I took the cowl off to fit a new stalk and the light has been on since I just wondered if there is a way to reset it

ahh good glad its fixed.. however for any one else who searches for this in the future:
a decent diagnostic scanner will read it and tell you what part is at fault. keep in mind that these and have a pretensioner built into the seat belt spool too which is linked into the same module.
also its known that due to the location of the airbag module it is prone to get water in it as it sits under a cover in a dip under the floor between the 2 seats or under the middle seat if you have the bench seat fitted.
its worth checking it over but can be a pain to get at.. not so much if you dont mind cutting your carpet however.

Notice: I have the tendency to void warranties, blow fuses, cause fires, and other fun stuff.
Words of wisdom: Internally rust proof the sills and subframe! both skins!!. There's always user serviceable parts inside. "Oh that shouldn't have happened".
