After my alternator packed in and I wangled a higher amperage used one for nothing I realised I had never checked what battery the van should actually have (2004 1.9D 70), turns out its the same 096 battery as my golf... which is only 19ish amps less than a spare mercedes (new) vito battery I had, after my vito never started again, so I've now bodge this in, I had to relocate the 60amp primary fuse holder but meh, I think it'll work, so far eveything is working great, no more like its in limp mode when I try get past 40mph etc lol.
Note: Airbox was half missing when I got it, so I made do with what I had laying about my garage... as you do lol.
Also now sporting my forum sticker but I'll get a pic of that somewhere scenic :-P

That ghetto airbox is very sweet. Looks like a K&N filter.
What size alternator did you manage to get in?

I have no idea as I didn't bother searching the part number lol, identical looking valeo but quite a bit larger, pulley same size wiring all the same, it come out a 2.0 work van that was wired to the moon apparently with lights and all sorts, so instead of wasting money I've just bodged in the old vito battery, let's see what happens lol - The gold fuze is a 80amp for a rear amplifier setup, although I have that going to a kill switch/breaker > split charge relay > 110AH leiisure battery/diesel heater etc in rear.
