Replacing a clutch cable

...is it a hard job with access and such?

Wondering whether to do it myself or just do the lazy option of having a garage do it

There's a lot to be said for either way ... DIY  save a few quid and have the satisfaction of a job well done.......

Or let the [ My current option at moment when I'm unsure of my ability] professional take the weight and pay a few extra quid to do it and let him pick up the tab of blame for the cock up .............

Re: Replacing a clutch cable

I've never had to touch mines but it must route through bulkhead in some way just at the pedals as the cable comes up passenger side of box I think.

Re: Replacing a clutch cable

I can't say I've ever looked that closely at a prefacelift van set up ................
My DW8 Engined 306's G/box is a cable clutch but my facelifted Vans DW8/B G/box is hydraulic operated...........

Re: Replacing a clutch cable

Have you priced the cable yet?

Can't remember how much but I remember being shocked.
