Brenda

Been a while since I've dropped by here, hope everyone is OK.

The tenth anniversary of my purchase of Brenda is coming up. Her transformation from courier van/mobile shed into camper is ongoing, and i'm taking my time over it - but the wife and I have already enjoyed a couple of holidays in her, and much more mechanical work has been done to keep the van safe and reliable.

Latest work done: new remanufactured steering rack (total cost £320 parts & labour)
4 new Goodyear Efficient Grip van tyres fitted.
O/S  wheelarch mini cupboard made from old plywood
Vinyl floor put in
All insulation installed including floor
Wiring purchased but not installed yet
Red leatherette interior trim started ?
Driveaway awning tent purchased ( Gumtree bargain )

Trips done as camper:
Wareham, Dorset and Chudleigh, Devon.

Jobs pending:
Mystery oil leak
Glow plugs probably need doing

Warning: incoming holiday snaps
?

Re: Brenda

Slightly confused for a mo there when I thought you had a music studio in your van!  smile

Durdle Door I see.
Last time I was there, early eighties, we walked to Lulworth Cove along the cliff path.  The grass and bushes were covered in glow worms.  Not seen one anywhere since.

Re: Brenda

Proper lovely down there. We walked the opposite way from Lulworth though it was daytime, so no glow worms.

If you're ever down that way in your van, i can recommend the New Inn at Church Knowle near Wareham. 12 quid a night for a pitch, no hook up but a good outdoor shower and superb food.
