^^ same £190 the whole year with commuting!

Notice: I have the tendency to void warranties, blow fuses, cause fires, and other fun stuff.
Words of wisdom: Internally rust proof the sills and subframe! both skins!!. There's always user serviceable parts inside. "Oh that shouldn't have happened".

That's good John. I am with Flux and think I am over £200 even as an oap!
That's the trouble with just letting it run on each year I think.

A-Plan for mine.
Got it cheaper than the Adrian Flux quote with less jumping through hoops and let me use my NCB from another policy I had. Cost a bit more than most of your quotes, but I asked for a lot of miles for the year. Also no need to submit a million receipts to get accepted value or whatever they call it. I just send pics of it when it's finished (some day).

You are on SBMCC. You could have got a discount with Flux. Personally i would never even consider using them as the internet is full of horror stories. They seem great giving a cheap quote but the problems start when making a claim. I put a link up on the SBMCC with a list of horror stories asking the Flux Rep who is on the site to explain. Not a peep out of him. I ended up using AIB Insurance who so far have been great. Camper, car and work van. Wife is a named driver and had a dunt in the car. Next years premium went up by a massive £20
My Convoy is just under 300 quid with breakdown what covers 90 days in Euroland also.

Small world.
Yeah no interest in using AF, especially after DYD clued me into A-Plan. They were just better and less hassle. Seems to be a lot of issues with Adrian Flux, not to mention the agreed value clause. A-Plan just asked me how much it was worth and said if I added anything else to the van to send them an email. Agreed value was just done without hassle. Also, I did get a 10% discount with A-Plan for being a member of SBMCC.
Cant remember but I think I have the same as you for Euro cover, 90 days. I don't see me using it this year. Maybe next year.

We are not going this year also. Planned a three week Trip for Italy, Croatia, Slovenia, Austria, Poland and a few other countries. in 2023. That is unless Putin the prat does not blow them up as well.

Something useful. I don't think anyone had posted anything that useful in a while. I never put two and two together.
And I didn't even link you to it, not that i even realised your were on there at that time.
I actually went back and looked you up and realised I had posted on a handful of threads that you also posted on and then it clicked. I think at that time I was still running my Transit and hadn't discovered this place yet. Did you ever post the swivel seats blog over there?

I was planning to hit Belgium for a beer run, but I think i will pass for now. Until this whole Ukraine thing is sorted, Europe has become somewhat unstable. I also hope he doesn't blow up Europe (and us). But its still a possibility given how deranged he is.

No i never put that blog up and i dont think i put the poor mans thermal blinds one up either Here
I had a bit beef with a few of them who have there heads stuck firmly up there own arses, or each others. He was telling me we need to have a HAB Test done on self builds what is total crap. Recommended only and only by law if building campers and installing gas/electric for a living. Grey area about resale of your old van but the clique know best so my fee is about to run out this month then im done. On my last membership i did wing the £50 raffle so i was up in cash and educated in a few other things
Its not the Mad Vad Putin that is putting us off this year its more this Covis shizz is still hanging around and i cant be doing with the masks any longer. They are binned on the 21st here in Scotland thank god. Now i can really annoy the folk who are still dancing round you in supermarkets
Luxemburg beer is cheaper BTW

AF have the most aggressive agents I've come across. I did buy a policy once, but remember feeling somewhat stitched up afterwards. Currently with Lifesure, and have timmed that down to £185, with a possible (doubtful) £40 cashback from Go Compare. That includes 270 days in EU also.

Might be cheaper, probably not as tasty. I'm kinda set in my ways, I like abbey beers, dubbels and trippels ideally, at least 9% if possible, although i do drink a lot of Leffe and Duvel over here.
Was after about 12 bottles of the Straffe Hendrik Quadrupel which has a pretty divine taste. Haven't had any for about 3 years and its nigh on impossible to get hold of over here. Don't mind paying for the bottles as I love the taste of it.
I'm not bothered about Covid, it will never fully go away. Quadruple jabbed (Astra, Pfizer and Moderna) and have a vaccine passport. But this year i want to do some minor trekking over here. Trans-Pennine, Coast to Coast and maybe the Pennine Way. Although I have mulled over walking to Cleethorpes and then down the coast path to Harwich. Next summer I will be heading abroad for sure.

I've got van insured with saga I think its on 10,000 miles PA [Had Van 5 0r 6 years and barely done 20,000 mls total with it] which i'll never use for £180 with 90 days euro this happened obviously because of my age now and being insured as a motorhome which it is registered as and my policy at time would only insure it as a modified van but it had more mods than they wanted to cover so anyway I took no claims and a refund else where and Saga gave me 15 years intro on my diesel golf also at the time I think life is harder now as rep said un able to apply discounts this year when I called ... not the cheapest but I don't believe in fully comp and cheapen cover by more than £100 voluntary excess to bring it to a total of £200 ... Motorcycles I never offer any voluntary excess and always look for a total of £100 ecess with 90 days EU and same cover in EU as in UK as One year I ended up in southern ireland with minimum cover for there [It's one thing to be told this but not hiden in small print ... So ask] when I found out thought Never again and changed ............. all vehicles I have are looked at same way
