Good morning everyone,
I stumbled across this forum while googling an oil leak on my 2005 Citroen Dispatch.
I wondered if they have a common place the leak? I can only get so far under my van and not enough to be able to see! I know its coming from the Driver side and believe it is higher than the sump.
She is a non turbo diesel think it is a 1.9. I don't think its to bad until after its been driven then it leaves a nice black patch wherever i park!
Thank you, Have a good day

I have a 2005 dispatch and have had a small oil leak from the rocker cover on and off for quite some time ................
It's been a real PITA ...............
I first noticed quite some time ago and have been told it's to do with it being a plastic rocker cover and warping with heat cycles and a common trait [I've barely got more than 100,000mls on it]..............
Iv'e had it sealed up numerous times but was leaking quite badly after a clutch change 3 or 4 years ago for some reason ...........
It seams to me time and slight disturbance being the culprit.............
It would not surprise me if mine is weeping again after doing glow plugs last year and the Silicone RTV breaking down ................
It seems to cover the rear of the engine in it's entirety then occasionally leaving oil behind ... A small amount of spilled oil makes a lot of mess and travels a long way...........
Its Probably not what your looking for but I dear say it's somewhere to start looking ..........

Any ideas on were to get a replacement rocker cover from for the dw8 engine? Are they all the same. Seem to be able to find them for the berlingo but not a dispatch?
Any help greatly appreciated

I'm led to believe that non turbo xud metal rocker covers fit but don't quote me on that as Ive never been brave enough to try ....................
Many moons ago I had similar issue with a GM V6 and the older version engine had metal rocker covers but it was the coil packs fitted that differed and made all the difference to changing over I was to find out ................
I've also seen a few china made plastic built things for the Mk1 etc vans on eB** but question quality or lack of and could end up worse than I am now so have stuck with the PITA leak and a new gasket with some RTV silicon Goo at the part or parts not sealing to well .....................
If it still leaks dont over tighten it or slobber lashings of Goo in there I've been told ... It'll only get worse.................

Do you need a cover? Or just the gasket? Surely the Berlingo ones would be the same as the Dispatch ones...

Thanks for the info ?
Well I was going to go with just a new gasket but the massive amounts of instant gasket hanging out tell me it might be wrapped. Rather than doing it twice was gonna go for a new rocker cover and gasket just to be on the safe side ?
And also reseal the last injector at the same time whilst in in there ?
He's back on the road now wooooooooooo
He's been missed just something about them that modern vans just don't have
