Does the HDI have a hand fuel pump?

A question for the forum. My HDi Dispatch has a leaky fuel pump, which is making cold starts a nightmare. Do these engines have a hand fuel pump to bring up the pressure? I know certain Berlingos have one. What would it look like? Thanks all

Dunno about the HDi ones but i know my old 1.9 D had a pump as part of the fuel filter assembly.

Pop the bonnet, just below the right wiper, there's something that looks like a push button pump thing.

If not you know you can buy prime bulbs on ebay from about six quid.

hey there, some HDIs have an in tank lift pump and some do not. for the ones without i made a jam jar with 2 pipes soldered into the lid. then connect one to the return (to the tank) pipe then apply suction to the other pipe. when you start getting diesel come through into the jam jar you know you have a primed system.
