Hello.
Recently bought an 04 Expert from a local dealer that took it in as part ex, paid scrap value for it as the dealer thought it had a blown head gasket as it was smoking like a steam train, it only had 93k on the clock with a full service history, I thought it was strange to have a blown gaskit at that milage, anyway I I've owned a partner before with the same engine and had a suspicion that it was egr valve related, then I found this forum and started checking out all your posts, I bypassed the egr and then put on a new oil cooler and guess what she was good with no smoke, couldn't have done it without you guys so thank you for posting and one day hopefully I'll be of some help too.

A darn sight easier than doing all that work to change a head gasket find nothing un-toward with it and be no better than before ...............
Excellent...............

I had a similar head gasket scare ages ago, and similarly found it to be the oil cooler. Grabbed yourself a bargain!
