2015 Peugeot Expert 2.0HDi 1200 L2H2 130bhp 0-60 times :D

Hi folks.  Happy to be here and I hope I can be saved and help save.  I had a 2007 Scudo a while back in metallic Blue.  It's was the 2.0 120 JTD and it went like a rocket.

I've recently bought as in title and it takes over 20 seconds to get to 60!!!!! but it is also limited to 70mph with a Soft Speed Limiter that starts slowing from 60mph.

It was a Euro Car Parts fleet van and comes with about 6k of receipts, including brand new clutch last week, new EGR and Turbo less than 10k ago, Manifold cleaned, new Throttle body Air dozer etc.  but 176,000miles on it.  It doesn't smoke* see below.  Turbo works** but it's soo slow.
It's got Full Service and I've just replaced the Fuel filter MAP and MAF and added a bottle of Forte Injector Cleaner.  It's quiet and very tidy, but won't shift.  Sometimes it jerks while driving slowly.
Please take a look at these numbers to see if anything stands out.  I'm using a cheap generic EML 327 scanner with the FAP app from Amazon.

I've checked all i can see but struggling to access the solenoids at the back of the engine top.  For all intents and purpose, it seems to work from a standstill, but loses boost.  I've checked for leaks but maybe I've missed something.

*Intermittent smoke on startup and erratic Idle
**Turbo works fine but seems to lose boost from 2nd gear onward.

The section highlighted in Blue has a lot of zero's in it considering the van is still moving.  I don't know what to make of it??  Hope you can help out.

Hi and welcome.
I don't think that the airmixer values mean much. This is a butterfly valve on the air intake. It restricts air intake to encourage intake from the egr and will also block air intake when the ignition is switched off.

Hi, Tee-Cee.  I don't know enough to assume either way what these numbers mean, but take a look at this screen shot from earlier in the readings.  Solid state of numbers that go to zero.  Take a look at the EGR readings also.

Take a look at these Fuel Pressure readings too......

If it restricts Air to encourage EGR, what if EGR is blocked?  How might that translate to the numbers on the spreadsheet?

IF the throttle body butterly opens and closes upon Pedal Position and Redirects to EGR, might this be why it goes quicker if \i let off the throttle?  you see if i put my foot down the slower it goes, but when i let my foot up and feather the throttle the response is so much better.

Therefore if the EGR is infact blocked, but not enough to throw a code, could letting off the throttle move the airflow back to the Throttle body intake manifold for air?  Maybe I'm talking rubbish.  trying to get my head around how it all goes together.

Have you not disconnected/blocked the EGR?  I dont know about modern Van's, but the mk1 runs better with the EGR disabled.  I just blocked the air tubes that actuate the valve, so that it doesn't light up the engine vault light.

New alternator
Tow hitch fitted
Lower Suspension arm ball joints replaced
Replaced gear stick

Hi again everyone.  It's been 6 months since my last confession...er...wrong forum!

It's been 6 months since i posted and still have low power output.  Let me start again by askig this?

Is it possible or Likely that this has been remapped for Less Power Output as it was Fleet Van?   I have had this to several garages with no luck on any diagnosis or fault finding.  I've changed almost everything sensor side, MAP, MAF and all Vac Sols atop rear of engine.

the van runs smooth, sometimes 'Farts' under acceleration, but this could also be a poor combustion cycle.  I can sit parked in neutral and it revs freely and smoothly.  I've used REVIVE which spewed a lot of oily gunk from the turbo exhaust joint to the Cat.  I've taken the CAt off and it's looks LIKE NEW as it joins the DPF.

I've ruled out htat many things I'm left thinking it's been Remapped for Lower Power Output at factory?

I've wasted almost 9 months of my life trying to diagnose low power and speed when it might be intentional!!!  I'm beat.

I feel your pain. My issue was actually the opposite - I had too much power. Eventually tracked it down to all the injectors being worn.
At one time it was suggested to me that the engine might have been remapped, so I got a dealer to check the ECU firmware. For £110 they updated the firmware  to the latest version. Didn't make any difference, but the FAP app would no longer recognise the ECU - and the developer ignored requests to update the app.
Sounds like you have eliminated most things, so it may be worth getting the injectors out and tested.

Well Tee_Cee I've changed almost everyhting I can now still no fault codes on the van.  I've just replaced all 3 vac sols on the back for new.  No Change.

However I have just posted another question to follow a theory.

The only clue I have now is an Intermittent No throttle Response and a code on the FAP App P2566 Turbo Copy Position.

My memory is going round in loops to a possible Pedal Position Sensor too, but it's not popped up for a long while now.

So I thinking a direct turbo issue, or Injectors or ECU.

Sorry somehow missed this post.

I've recently tried blocking the EGR but it ran terribly.  Stuttering and no throttle response so removed the blanking plate.

I have a similar vehicle to you from Euro Car Parts L2 H2 that I have just bought. It goes fine until it hits 70. So do they have limiters on then ?
Or do I have the same issue as he has below and maybe you do too.

Someone on a similar forum had the same issue and it turned out to be . .All sorted, it turned out to be the turbo pressure sensor located under the airbox. The plastic nipple had snapped off so the pipe was hanging down.
https://www.peugeotforums.com/threads/e … mph.13619/

Mine is pretty fast tho up until 70mph its the same as yours the 130 mines a 2016 with 214k on though. It drives superb and in great condition apart from it will need a new clutch soon as only been done twice and its a bit high.
I have also noticed when i turn on my ignition something like Economy Mode Active pops up in the display so there maybe modes within the computer.
The other things it can be is the Mass Airflow Meter/sensor as this will cause it to run like you describe the injectors are going bad or leaking or your DPF needs changing but they spend most of their lives on the motorway so i doubt the DPF is blocked or you have an air leak somewhere or maybe a faulty fuel pressure sensor or your throttle cable needs adjusting
