Have you taken a multimeter to the various wires? Maybe that'll tell you where in the chain the problem is?
Mechanic did and couldn't find no power...
(It started to work straight after him giving up (and me) we left it at a "getting new (SH) control panel.
Yesterday talked to the dealer (was looking for a radio code and asked casually what he knows of then- the usual "would need to book in" $$$, he mentioned something about a supply wiring and relays... ?
ANW didn't get the code, as they "need" V5, didn't want to be further ripped off for diagnostic work, called the mechanic to get myself booked in for the Monday, we'll see what's now, but getting and "alternative" power feed seems like reasonable option with couple of relays and switches, just like the thingy of evil'bay, but perhaps better build quality, more durable. Those control panels is an absolute lottery if to get them SH, yet dealer didn't even mention those to be suspects...

If so there is a code calculator tool which produces the code from the serial number. Works with serial numbers in the format:- C7000 0000xxxx. It used to be a widely available free download but have just checked and can now only find people offering to do it for a price.
I posted a link to the download ages ago but just checked and it's no longer working.
It may still be available in the darker reaches of the net?

As it comes to the blower or more precisely now lack of power supply, kinda "catch -up" where am I right now with it.
Resistor switch assembly of evilBay didn't work, having rigged up everything to it... shame, as it seemed as very good solution to very many of blower fan issues having vans.
The blower Fans (with Resistors) x2 of off an evilbay didn't fit at all, both returned (at my expense), the correct part 6441E3, has been located at EuroCarParts talking to a sales person in person, as online or on the phone they aren't very good
Power, does get to it sporadically, twice in the last week, not coming on 5 days of that week. What multimeter testing revealed (by at least by two mechanics that tested) is that once I've no power supply in the wires to the fan- it really is uncertain what or where to look for the fault. Indeed revving up might have helped for it to come back alive, could be some sort of control relays are faulty, could be some sort of contacts for the relays or else, that works intermittently meaning, it would need to be tested when it works to see where the "chain" breaks when it doesn't, but I'm not going to the mechanic to say- oh look, it works- check it where!

Apologies @peterlatham to have completely hi-jacked your thread
Van is going to a different mechanic (than this Fri bushings replacing) one forthcoming Tue, Fan worked twice in a couple of weeks, despite having had resistor and motor replaced, still unsure what the outcome will be once he'll have the relay (part n.: 655533 ), IF that'll be it or whatever else. I'll keep you posted!

Relay replaced, but it wasn't it
Actual Fan with RESISTOR replaced (x3'rd one that actually fitted)
Dash lift up, investigations x4 off (some wires stripped etc- unsightly down there)
Relay replaced-
NOPE!
Turns out, once resistor goes "funny" it does burn connectors and wiring, what was said by the good mechanic (although operates well far away from me these days) ~ 3 years ago
The other two instances of investigation/repair was a bit of time waste
the FIX (to my van) was wires melted behind fuse box (re'isolated). Indeed, some might end having some contacts or wiring burning, once resistor goes KAPUT in variety of places.
Not going to list out who did what (right or wrong), just going to say, that including the last striping down and isolating melted wiring was £90 and in total all the messing about ("work") + parts costed me well over £300, that even for these parts of the country is rather steep
