Breather pipe location

Hi all, apologies if I have posted this in the wrong place. I replaced the glow plugs on my dispatch last weekend, it now starts in the cold thankfully, however I have a single breather pipe disconnected and I cannot recall where it went. There is also no visible places it should go, van is running well but would like it back where it should be. Right hand side when looking at the engine as pics below, any thoughts gratefully received.IMG_1375.jpegIMG_1381.jpeg

Re: Breather pipe location

oh its just the fuel filter drain off. it just hangs down the side of the engine. its what you can use to drain water out of the bottom of the fuel filter. be careful if you undo it..

if you have an in tank lift pump only do it with the engine running as the lift pump will push water/fuel out and wont allow air to get back in.
if you just have a manual priming pump, only do it with the engine off while pushing the priming pump down. as soon as the pump hits the bottom tighten it back up and let the pump return to normal before pressing it down and undoing the drain again. a bit like bleeding a break. you dont want any air to get back into the fuel filter housing.

hope this helps! big_smile
