It's a sad day but I've no choice room/financially/mentally heh, she;s away to scrap heaven come 11am tomorrow - I will try my best to hang about on the forums and help if/where I can, it would be good to keep in touch as although i'm moving to a old T4, it's still part of the scene that we all want, old/reliable home from home, I would like to thank everyone on here, including Ken, Dragon Lord, etc etc etc, all very good reguilar folks that have been here over the last few years, would be good to keep in touch.

Time to spend money and cut fingers etc on the Vw T4 making it a proper camper! - Watch this space lol. smile

Shame to see the van go, I'm always tempted to say "I'll take it!" and rescue a Dispatch but like you say, can I afford to mental load of that. Espcially as yours sounds like it's full of niggling issues

On to better things with the T4 - looks like a nice van you've got there. If you can handle the "posh club" like AlvyLad says tongue

Fk the posh lot, I do my own thing, wont make it a full pointless "look at me tat" either, as they all seem to do - 1st mod I've ordered some of the proper curtins instead of boghing it with tint or spray paint, bar that once no fker can see it will be as bodged as it was before LOL, cheapest safest way lol.

My new concern is.. how do I fit it inmny garage to work on it and keep it dry/get door shut? Lul, the dispatch just fitted, T4 a good half meter longer.

Nowt wrong with going larger. I did it a few years back and bought an LDV Convoy. Remember VW comes with an idiot tax. Anything with VW embossed is double the price and if you start calling it a Vee Dub ill drive through to Livi myself and poke you in the eye with a blunt pencil.

I moved from an old T4 to my present Peugeot 1.9D. Was lovely to drive but so expensive to repair and was rusting away faster than you could weld it back up!

Yeah it was a bus running round the Welsh Valleys for most of its life. MOT this Wednesday and if it does not pass i will be calling it anything but a bus tongue

giant cow wie joint in it's mug does not bother me, what bothers me is you would poke me in the eye with a bulnt pencil and not just hand me a blunt? sheesh. Lol, been a while for that mind you. Lol.

Reminds me of a T5 conversion parked beside us once in Vienna. The guy was on a one week trip Paris Amsterdam Berlin Vienna Prague etc. When the van pulled up, out came the huge mat and the VW full sized canvas deck chairs. When they went inside to eat the table was just so tiny. I think it was all new because he had a blowout on one of his his 17in ultra low profile tyres in Berlin and found out that that it could not be jacked up because of the the shiny new chrome sidebars.

Long time for me also. Last time for me was my Honeymoon in Amsterdam some 20 years ago. I was a heavy smoker and went to work in Bradford in the 80's. Whatever year the big fire at Valley Parade. Spend over a year there wasted and came home. It was like a switch was turned on and i could not mix it with Booze so one had to go as i would me puking by 9pm so apart from sharing a Jay a handful of times i have never missed the stuff. Love the smell of Green though (Y) Saying that anything Green is good and Livi had better win this Saturday lol
