Weird electrical problems

Hi! So i have some weird electrical problems on my newly bought 2013 citroën dispatch.

First I noticed that the wipers resting position is way too high up on the wind screen, but i dont think its an adjustment issue since when activated they go all the way up and all the way down but as soon as they stop they move up about 20 cm?

The second thing i noticed is that the interior lights are flashing like disco when the engine is off but as soon as I start the engine the lights are fine and if i turn off the lights with the engine running they still emit a weak light even though they should be turned off?

The third problem occurred some days after i had bought the car, after a quick ride the key fob suddenly stopped working and i couldnt lock the car "automatically"! Turning the key in the door worked fine so its probably not the central locking thats the issue. 5 minutes later the key fob worked like a charm again!

Now it seems like it sometimes wants to work without hesitation and sometimes it doesnt want to work at all no matter what i try and it seems to be at random too! Its like the key fob is loosing connection to the car back and forth?

I wondered if these problems could be caused by a bad battery but im not having any issues starting the car?

If you have had similar problems or have any ideas i would be more than grateful if you would share them with me!

Thank you for taking your time!
My best regards!

Re: Weird electrical problems

Not sure if you need an auto electrician or an exorcist

Intermittent electrical problems are bad enough but such apparently unrelated ones are baffling.

The wiper parking position should I think be controlled mechanically by the position of the blade on the splines.  The motor has a fixed arc of travel and parking is decided by the position the blades are fitted.  Have you tried resetting the parking position and then checking the travel is ok?

The key fob sounds like a bad circuit in the fob.

The flashing lights though I think are defiantly a poltergeist.

Been quiet here lately but hopefully someone else may be along with suggestions.

Hi, and thanks for your reply!

I'll have a look at the wiper blades splines, the thing is that the wipers have the correct travel  but as soon as they're done they move up a bit which is weird.

I have changed the battery in the keyfob so i'll have to wait and see if it looses connection again, so far so good!

Ive done some minor troubleshooting with the lights but nothing has worked.

My parents had an oven that would turn on it self and adjust the heat back and forth guess i'll call the same excorist we had then!

Re: Weird electrical problems

Update!

Tried resetting the park postion on the wipers... Guess what.. it worked! XD

The key fob seems to work still, maybe it was just the battery.

Called the excorist, he came with his crucifix and said some mumble mumble and tadaa the light works too! XD

Nah not really, tried changing to an old halogen bulb, turns out the car doesnt like led's (facepalm)

Re: Weird electrical problems

Mostly good then.

Strange about the leds,  Mine has been ok for years.  A few dead cells now but only very cheap ebay ones.
