Hi
New member here, I'm off to potentially buy a 63 plate L2 Citroen Dispatch, it has had light use (florist and balloons) has 61,000 miles on the clock and is very good condition.
Is there anything I should potentially look for on a van this age? Or are there any know issues that I may need to address?
Many thanks
Si

Although light use might seem like a good thing, the DPF regen works best with longer higher speed usage. I'd look at the exhaust pipe, which should be clean. If there is any soot, it could point to a damaged DPF.

The 2012-2016 van is high up on my list for next van also - I had a 2006 MKI for 8 years.
Is the DPF issue a particular problem for this incarnation?
And what are the implications if there's a problem? Can it be repaired / replaced?
2006 Citroen Dispatch 2.0HDi bought in July 2013 - Partial camper conversion ........

Just the general issue that short journeys mean that regens will not clear all the soot. Over time this can lead to a blocked DPF, and possibly a crack in the core due to excessive heat. Bizarrely there is no indication that the regen is happening, so it makes it difficult to monitor.
As for replacing the DPF, on my DW10CD, it was about £700 for a Peugeot refurb and took 6 weeks to get it. Other than that its a lovely van and a lot more room than the old van.

While it's not about speed, knowing your 0-60 speeds could indicate an issue that I myself am experiencing.
Assuming they are the same or similar engines, you could try a 0-60 speed to see if it's at least close to what it should be. I believe the 1.6 is 17 seconds, where the 2.0 130bhp what I have should be around 13 seconds. Mine takes around 18-20 seconds, hence why I'm looking for solutions. Good luck with it.

Don't often get the chance round here but I floored it to 50mph in about 6 seconds. I recon it would get to 60 in maybe 8s, and certainly 10s

Not very scientific but counting in my head was 6s to 50mph. So probably 8 to 10 for 60. Anyway the point was to to confirm your acceleration is way off, which is what i think you were looking for
