Silverdale/Arnside?

Anyone got a good lay up near Silverdale or Arnside?
Cheers

Not been there myself, but this National Trust one looks promising. Can't see any No Overnight signs on Google

Re: Silverdale/Arnside?

Car park at Wharton Crag.  I think it now has no overnighting signs and height barriers but as I have been using it for decades I claim usage rights.  Peregrine's, little owl and ravens nesting on the crag.  Good walks if you don't mind hills.
Also nearby is a secluded nature reserve cp near the railway line.  Turn off to coast just near level crossing.
I particularly like Jenny Browns Point.  Awkward spot at end of lane with no passing places.  Tiny pitch with no level at gated entry to field that is the only turning point at the end of the lane.  Good for evening arrival and be willing to move if it gets busy during the day.  Great sunsets and view across the bay and a bench to sit on and enjoy them.
Used to be a great spot along the front next to Red Bank Farm but since the camp site developed I think there are now no overnighting.signs.
Similar around Arnside.  There used to be camping on a couple of beaches, but I think it's been stoped now.  Good place to park up for the day though right on the beach.

"Vanlife" is eating itself!

I'll take a look at that one, far end could be ideal.

I know what you mean about Jenny Brown's Point. I might also check out the nature reserve car park.

Re: Silverdale/Arnside?

Parked at the RSPB car park but a couple in a BMW decided to have an all night row, my gf on her first van trip asked if it was normal.
Used the National Trust car park instead.

Hashtag van life. It's not all glamorous

Sucks that that was her first experience though
