Hi another question

cookers  whats everyone using

been looking at this and running it on a couple of Gaz bottles .

Anyone used it  will be used in the vav  but will build in an extractor and open a window when in use  .

thoughts please  .. Ta

I had one of them. Its been rebranded may a time over the years and mine was Go Outdoors version (Identical) Worked well on Calor gas but the grill is pants. Never used it in the van as i had a three sided awning what was used as an extra room (Kitchen) and if a warm night living room. Shop around as i paid 10 quid for an as new version.

They are all pretty much alike apart from the very cheap ones that take the lightweight tins inside the unit.  They are dangerous. 

As Capers says, the grills are a usually a waste of space and running on Calor is far cheaper than Gaz.  They need different regulators though so check which it has if it comes with one supplied.

Camping Gaz - 2.72kg for £40
Calor under £35 for 7kg

I use one of these in my van.  Cheap and does the job.  Uses those threaded gas cans, currently using the ones they sell at Home Bargs for £2 each (and got about 20 more of them the other year).

Mounting wise, I drilled some holes through the top and used a couple of screws to hold it in place.

A single can of gas lasts a good while.  Probably a week or two if you used it on back to back days.  Mine was getting used to boil a kettle while at college a couple of times a day, three times a week and I got about 3 months out of one can.
