Snapped a con rod bolt. Anyone have, or able to direct me to where i can get a replacement for this. It's a 2003 1.9d. All the ones available seem to be the stud type, not the bolt.

Thanks AlvyLad. Spent ages on ebay and never saw these. £30 for a bolt is a bit steep. What do you think to just using an M10 high tensile bolt?

It may be fine, or it may destroy your engine.
I got away with it once in a small low powered single.
If you go for HT bolt, check grade, they vary a lot. I think you need grade 8 but check.
Would weight/balance be likely to be an issue?

I thinks it's DW8B engine?
Some Googling tells me the Citroen C5 2001-2004 diesel uses the same part number 0607 37
and they're only £19.24
Still not cheap but better than £30

RegW Thanks for the info mate. Sorted now. (cheaper to buy a 2nd hand conrod with the bolts) Trusting a dodgy torque wrench instead of using common sense caused the problem.

OAT Thanks for the info. Ordered some higher grade M10 bolts to use, but had a result on the original bolts. So should be sorted.
