Odometer display not working, is there a way to find out the mileage?

mk1 1.9d,     does the overall mileage get clocked into the van computer?
can a odb2 reader be used anywhere?

the odometer display has never displayed anything readable

Hi,
My 2.0HDI Peugeot expert oddmeter is back lite by a lamp, and if the lamp is not working you can’t read it…
You need to remove the clocks to access it for replacement.
