Re: MY VAN

Took me a minute or two work out what's going on with your floor....... I had for a very very short period  the use/trial of a Peugeot expert WAV when my partner really wasn't doing so good and she was in a wheelchair all the time. (she didn't like being wheeled/winched, stuck in back ... Also once but not at same time obviously had her motor bike strapped in the back smile )..... I had a similar vision to what you've built ..... My friend since sold the van, (He owns a garage) But still it was always damp, I guess being 18yrs old with only 40,000mls on it, no heater blower, headlining had fell down and it standing about most of it's life doing nothing didn't help.... but the seed was sown..... I measured up a Caddy, Berlingo, Combo and Transit connect. but really no better off than the 306 for all the extra investment (found out we could sleep and almost stretch out  in the back of a 306 hatch in one particularly spectacular storm on route to Spain) I decided to look for one of these or relay/boxer type vans and was lucky to trip over what is now our little Dispatch camper..... We are not to bad for space even without the n/s seat only turned round but amazed at the extra space you've got with both seats turned and not having sink/cooker unit across o/s door.....How do you support bed with cords/from what, where when extended for sleeping

Re: MY VAN

Hi Vaz  If you look at the top picture you will see a little green loop hanging from the sliding door rail, the board hangs from that,
the best thing i did was put the 806 seats in it  as it frees up alot of room,
i had the cooker in the same place in my old Rascal i was thinking of doing a full conversion  with cupboards  but desided to go the same route as with my old bedford rascal keep it simple and most of all lite in  weight as it is  only a 1.9 d
there is lots of storage space under the bed
I have got a source on some good quality ply so will be redoing all again soon in stained  beech ply(stronger) with better access to the storage

Re: MY VAN

Maybe Admin could make a sticky or keep thread near top so others can see and add there van photo's here without the need to search camper conversions section as it gets larger

I'll follow monkeynut's lead with Our Van....

Two Duvets, We find it's easy to roll up/out and easier to wash/dry covers than double sleeping bag

Re: MY VAN

i really like the swivel seats, mine has 3 seats so no gangway it sux,
amazing how everyone does things differently,
ii am not for the kitchen fitting stuff, takes up loads of room and unnescessary,
lots of work and money, why not just use a glass 1.5ltr bottle of water and a tiny gas cooker?
that costs 10 quid.

You must have Scottish blood (Tight git) big_smile  That is all i am doing but just buying water when on the roads as it costs next to nothing and a cheap two burner stove from a camp shop. I still cant decide to plumb in electricity ir just use an extension though. Extension will solve the vent problem being hooked through a window smile

The awning is a Sunncamp Swift 220 deluxe i think. It comes with a bag what is the size of a small sports holdall and weighs sod all. Im sure they are around 100-120 quid but i got mine on gumtree for 50. You dont want much larger is it would be to wide for the van.
