Hi!
I recently bought a very used 1998 Citroen Jumpy (Dispatch Mk1).
I need to make a vehicle inspection before I'm allowed to use it and such I started going over it.
I can't get the license plate light to work, also I noted there are no visible lights on the back of the car. My blinkers work all around, also the tail fog lights work.
I've tried to check the fuses but I'm a bit lost as none of the fuse box diagrams I've found online seem to match the layout of my fuse box. I've gone through all the fuses under the steering wheel and found one broken, but that did only fix the compartment fan.
I've changed both license plate bulbs so it cant be the bulbs. I've also checked with a multimeter and I have no volts in the sockets.
Here's a picture of how my fuse panel looks like.

Does anyone have any tips or tricks?

Maybe a previous owner has 'improved it' or fitted a towbar socket and fudged the electrics ?
my diagram for an Expert shows a separate fuse for left and right sides with the number plate light
being supplied from the LH circuit
F12 for the RHS and F13 LHS
the diagram also shows the side light fuses are supplied from the switch
Are the front sidelights working?
If so I doubt it's the fuses or switch at fault but something else like the above mentioned
'owner improvements'
I found this but have no idea if it's at all useful

Yes, a towbar has been fitted. I tried disconnecting that part but didn't work either.
I found a Scudo technical manual in the forum, showing my fuses.

I also found a wiring diagram of the side lights and license plate lights

As for the finale, I found s location of components.

My fault would probably be in the interior fuse box.
Its a public holiday tomorrow here in Sweden, so I'll be back with an update.
Thanks for the feedback.

Correction.
If all the fuses are OK - wouldn't my fault be in the IC01Z connection.
Where is that board situated?

ICO1Z looks like it is on the bulkhead/firewall?

Those diagrams look useful, finding anything similar for my Expert is real PITA at times
I'd consider removing the step trim and probing the V12 and V13 cables
in the harness to see
if there is a voltage present when the side lights are switched on.
if there is then the fault is probably down stream
if not upstream
Downstream could be better and easier to fix as it doesn't involve digging under the
dashboard and/or engine bay.

Update:
I've now made sure I have 12V on BB4. (measured at 0002 B2)
But when turning the car on and turning on the lights, I do not get 12V out of any side of the sockets for fuse 12 and 13.
Update 2:
Tested continuance on the stick side lights switch and it works fine.
Even so, I can't get any current at the fusebox. I've got to undo the full bunch of cables so isolate them...

You haven't mentioned the front side lights or dash warning light
the fault you describe would suggest they are not working either, but it would help to have this confirmed

Sorry, you're right. Thought I'd answered.
None of the side lights were working from the start. As of my findings, I'm not surprised.

I'm back to start again.
The wiring diagram sems to be wrong in some way, or not corresponding to my model.
The cable namned "VV" going from the stick switch to the fuse box is, in my case, two wires running towards the engine compartment instead...
Coming from that direction is a cable namned VV02 which should be carrying the current.
Looking for a new wiring diagram

No promises but these diagrams may help
I made guesses about your vans spec when selecting them
I based them on Plain SWB van, LHD with XUD engine

If it were mine and just to satisfy myself
I'd probably get a couple of meters of cable for a flying lead and do a continuity test
between the V12 and V13 terminals on the tail lights and the fuse sockets with fuse removed
if you do get continuity from the light to the fuse, at least it will confirm you're tracking in the right area
and then find out why there is no power

Just remembered I took a pic of tail light back when I was fixing it
Looking at it I see I made a mistake
The cables with the pink dots say
"side and tail"
when they should say "side and brake"
I cant recall which is which right now and cant check because my vans in the shop
but the side should be numbered V13/V12 if the diagrams are to be trusted

Thank you very much. It says pretty much the same but at your diagram you can clearly read the "VV02" goes from the switch to the fuseboard "BF00", at that end it seems to change namne to just "VV".
I think there must be some kind of relay or coil between the stick switch and the fuseboard.
Do you mean I'd make a loop of the V12 or the V13 and the flying cable? I could do that.
I'm actually thinking I could run a new VV/VV02 cable between the stick switch and the fuseboard. It'll probably lead to some other problem further down the road but should fix my lights for the inspection. As of the diagrams at hand it wouldn't really have impact on anyting else.

Surely it couldn't be the earth/negative connection spooking?
Then the blinkers, brake lights etc wouldn't be working either?
Which they do...

In the last image
using a meter set for continuity and a wire between pin 2 (cable v13W) of 2630 ( LH tail light)
and the fuse should show continuity and prove the fuse (f13) is
definitely the one supplying and protecting the circuit
then the same test between pin2 ( cable V12C) at 2635 and hopefully F12
This will confirm things for the avoidance of doubt
so your idea of rigging a cable between the switch and fuse supply
should hopefully work but I'd suggest checking any connection problems first
and watch for smoke !!

Now, After cleaning the cables a bit I saw the markings on the cables. This is the adapter going to the stick. VV1 and VV2 are the names of the two cables.

Coming down to the pin connector to the fuse box, a single cable marked VV02 comes and should give power to V12 and V13, which are the other cables (except the pink ones, those are for something else)
Somwhere between, VV1 and VV2 comes out as VV02.
I think I need to remove the whole dash panel.

BTW.
I did the continuity test you suggested. I worked fine.
Doing it, I found a pink, live cable behind the LF tail light marked BM08, ending nowhere. and behind the RH tail light somone fittet a fuse box with a 10A fuse.
Seems I'll be rewiring the whole car...

I know I have a later van but unless it's very very quiet, there is no relay between the light switch and lights
and have seen no sign of one in any of the diagrams I have seen so far.
They all show the same system.
Power in to the switch on cable BB4 then power out to fuses 12 and 13 via the VV cable

At last.
Reconnected the VV2 to the VV cable and everything works. Whatever is in between doesn't seem to mind. Took her for a spin around the village and everything seemed to work. Left the VV1 cable untouched for now.

Good stuff well done.
My van has just had work done to get it to pass its annual MOT (fit for use on the public highway) test
which I hope will be done Saturday.
Not sure how strict your tests are in Sweden but here those faded number plates
would probably be frowned upon.
BTW how "very used" is it in terms of kilometers?

I've put in an order for new plates I hope I'll get through the inspection showing the receipt as they've not arrived yet.
It's currently at 27 000km.
I think it's been pretreated for rust once upon a time cause there's not much rust underneath or in the frame.
Cars running in northern Sweden usually doesn't rust as much as the south ones as we don't salt the roads in the same way in the north.
At the inspection now. Crossing my fingers...
