Hi all, after for some advice from any forum members who have performed power steering flush on a mark 2. Looking at youtube and other sources the general advice is to disconnect the low pressure pipe and whist feeding the reservoir turn the steering wheel to flush out the old fluid. In looking at the Mark 2 power steering reservoir there is only one pipe from the bottom which I am assuming is the high pressure pipe unless I am wrong
Also what do everyone use for the power steering fluid, looking at Opie/EuroCarParts/GSF they all recommend Febi 06161 which is green, where I understand this is mineral based so not recommended by PSA, the actual PSA fluid appears to be the red stuff part number 1615099680. Looking at Total there appears to be “Fluide LDS” and “Fluide DA” which I can’t as to the difference.
Any help and advice gratefully appreciated

I only come with experience from a Mk1, but I disconnected the pipe on the pump, not the reservoir. You should have two pipes on the pump
Mine is red too, it's basically the same stuff as automatic transmission fluid. Again though, this is Mk1

Thanks @kenbw2 looking like not as simple given the electromechanical design of these, waiting for the PS fluid to arrive and will try to remember to take photos when I come to do it and post an update
