My door wasn't opening from the outside. Fixed with cable ties

Lately my door handle hasn't been opening from the outside. I'd have to press the door in, while locking and unlocking it and then I can pull the handle while still pressing the door in. All very strange.

The inside door handle worked fine, none of this faffing.

With the MOT coming, I decided to figure out what was going on

I pulled the door card off, and had a rummage at the mechanisms. Turns out everything was intact (I was expecting a rod not catching) but the handle wasn't pulling the mechanism far enough. If I nudged it with a screwdriver it would release.

A few cable ties later it now pulls the lever out a smidge further. Opens every time now
