Citroen jumpy 1998 where to put jack and Jack stands?

Hello! Im about to make some repairs on my jumpy from 1998.
Where do i put jack and Jack stands?
If I wanna lift the rear left/right?
I dont want to bend something.
My regular jack mounts have some rust so i dont like to put it under there i think.

In the front i use to put my Jack under one of the bigger bolts that holds the frame for the controlarm.

Where do you put your jack and Jack stands on your mk1 jumpy/expert/scudo?

Have a nice weekend.

I struggle with this too - the sills are not somewhere I want to lift it up

I have a towbar, so I generally use that when I can

If that's not an option I've used the bottom of the springs which works well enough. But I'm not sure I'd want to get underneath it with that

Honestly there's not many great options at the back

You could use the jack stands as an insurance - put them below the sills but don't put weight on them but better it lands on those than your head. But that's sketchy.

What are you looking to repair? Could you use ramps?

Re: Citroen jumpy 1998 where to put jack and Jack stands?

Thanks for the answer. I going to check the rear wheel bearings cause some of my bearings are sounding.
I agree that the best option should be under the tow bar  (if my Jack can lift high enough ?)

Otherwise under the rear springs should be a good option.
On my rear axle there is a sign to not jack it up or put a tow rope tow chain. I think they mean in the middle of the axle cause it may bend. But the axle should be strong enough to hold the weight if you put it more to the
Right/left wheel.

Oh you have a towbar. Yea absolutely use that, I use it because it's gonna be more than strong enough to hold weight. Just secure it against wobbling side to side. Maybe axle stands under the sills not to hold the weight, just to keep it stable

It's an option I've used many times on my previous van that didn't have a towbar

Mine too, but I actually had a mechanic advise me to jack it up on that, I think he said he did at one point.

Not a choice I'd go for but try it at your own risk I guess

Re: Citroen jumpy 1998 where to put jack and Jack stands?

I put a block of wood under the spring holder cup and then jack under that.  It works ok.  The axle stands go under the two jacking points under the sills.  For the front I just pick the biggest chunk of steel frame, put the block of wood between the steel and the jack and up it goes.  But I do have a 3 ton trolley jack for this, so less hassle.
