CABIN FILTER

Anyone know what the rubber hose at the back of the cabin filter housing assembly does and where does it go on 2.0 HDI. This is the rubber pipe that has a rubber flap and a rubber hook. Recognise there is a rubber drain hose at the front that clips to the front.

Looked at a few videos on youtube and every one neither showed it or addressed it

As far as I can see on my 1.6hdi the rubber hose is just an extra water drain. The flap just stops it sucking in with air flow, and any water can just drip out the bottom.
