shock absorbers

Does anyone have any advice or experience of changing a MK 11 expert shock absorbers to create a softer ride?
I use mine as a "day van" and never if ever drive it fully or half loaded. Any advice would be gratefully accepted

I did this with springs (not shocks) on my Mk1, I assume it's the same. Mine came out of a Synergie and it made it such a nicer ride.

I assume the same applies to the C8/807, but that's only assumption
