Scudo 2.0jtd gearbox parts nla????

hello all been told my a few suppliers now that gear box parts are no longer available for our vans???

i need a 5th gear assembly for my scudo 2004 my 2.0 jtd if anyone has anything good? thx

I'm not really surprised individual parts are nla considering the age of the vans but
a second hand 2.0 HDI or 2.0 JTD ( both basically DW10's) gearbox may well be found at a breakers or possibly say on the Facebook MK1 group where folk are always breaking and flogging off mk1 vans and parts

I wonder how transferrable the gearbox is from the Mk2 vans, since the engine and a lot of other components are shared between them

even if physically they'd be identical, often they are configured differently and is comes to sensors and electric/electronic monitoring/management they are also made to be deliberately particular car/van specific...
The newer they are- the worse it becomes, hence, I miss (jealous of those, that didn't rust away) old/ simple/ reliable van, like you wouldn't believe
