Sad to see it go, 55,000 miles is amazing. If it was a 1.9TD I'd be all over it.
Could you share a bit more about the ramp? What angle relative to the ground does it land at? And I assume no electric winch or anything

It'll probably attract interest from someone who needs a cheap WAV and can live with a 1.9D.
The 1.9D is simple and reliable (if looked after) but gutless and not that economical compared to the HDI.
30-38 mpg vs 45-52 approx and definitely an issue to be considered with fuel prices being so high.

I did get my DW8 1.9D to 45MPG on a long motorway run at 50mph, but yes gutless is the word

I know someone that might take it on. I'll have to talk to him about insurance. What's the insurance like on WAVs?
Fuel isn't a issue compared to filling a L322 Range Rover V8

I get about 41mpg hanging about 60/65mph on a run and 35 mixed driving. The insurance wasn't not effected far as I could tell. As its a modification for disabled access. So they cannot discriminate I think. Just got to state it has been and I gave them the company that converted it and the ref number, to show it is legit. Its about £520 Fully comp zero excess 12k a year and.... I don't live in a low insurance area shall we say. Ramp angle is about a 45 degree. The ramp is fully manual, no elecs to worry about. no winch, the mobility scooter just drives in.

Cheers, I'm battling wishbones at the minute or else I'd be ringing around.

There is a strong chance my next door neighbor is going to buy it later today, when I get back from work. I will keep you updated
