My fan heater stopped functioning properly in the summer - it still heats but the blower stopped blowing.
And now the weather has got cooler it's started working again, but intermittently.
Going over a bump can start it, or stop it.
I have reasonable understanding of electrical stuff somewhere in the back of my brain, however my fine motor skills are rubbish, especially with the colder weather.
Is this something I can fix myself, or am I better off trying to find a garage that can help?
Thank you!

As it's an intermittent fault this suggests a bad contact.
If it were mine I'd start the engine and set the fan speed to midway
and 'wiggle and tap' all the connectors to see if one of them starts the fan when disturbed.
If so then open check and clean the suspect connector and reassemble.
As I have AC and 2 fan motors, I did this to get the AC working properly.
There may be other issues but the above is always my first test.
The slider on the dashboard for fan speed is basically a variable resistor and the tracks may well be worn so
give that some attention too.

Exactly as above, on mine the blower stopped so I pulled and twisted lots of wires under the passenger side dash and upon contact one would suddenly kick the blower back to life. I just put a couple of cable ties around the wire so now if i need to i can just pull on the cable ties and it comes back on.
