new here, question about a van i want to buy

hi there, im new here looking to buy a van to convert to a camper.

ive been to look at a 04 dispatch which i am interested in but neither side doors will open, anyone have an idea why they would be stuck shut, something to do with locks i guess? i am fairly mechanically minded.

Will they open from the inside? my nearside one sticks sometimes, are the locks spinning if opens from the inside it will just need the barrels changing they are quite cheap on ebay , these vans a known for weak locks

If they open but not in central locking take the cover off the doors. You see about a six inch wire from central locking motor to lock. The plastic retaining clamp can bursts easy and prevents the central locking working. It was like this on my van but it was the door i was sealing shut anyway so just locked it and took the power wire out.
