Hi
I'm putting together a few tools to keep under the passenger seat whilst I'm out and about (I had to postpone my first adventure in my Dispatch). I'm reasonably competent and just wondered what everyone thought or carried in theirs.

So far:
Pliers
8" adjustable spanner
Engineers screwdriver
Posidriv screwdriver
8, 10, 11, 12, 14, 17, 19 mm spanners

What else would you recommend, your thoughts are welcome.

Torx bits and sockets?

Any tips on a decent but not extortionate set would be appreciated.

There's a lot of shit ones out there!

I never bothered with Torx bits i went for the screwdriver set what was Halfords own brand and are still going strong. Only Torx bits i have a the larger once for the bolts like what hold your seats in place. As for what to take i have a silver camera case i got out B&Q in a sale what holds almost every tool you would need for roadside fixes. This lives in the van ticked up by the back door.

Torx! Of course I forgot about them.

I just want to have the ability to fix any minor problems if I'm away for a few days.

I always have a trolley jack ,small socket set(with allan/ torx bits) some spanners mole grips and gaffer tape , but never had to used them once on any

What size are these please? My seats are going to have to come out to check the floor and dry the carpet.

Almost inevitable that at least one bolt per seat will refuse to budge! Dreading it.

i would leave the seats in place ,unless you are swapping them, they can be a ball ache the outside two on each seat are the ones that rust ,also there are two sizes, one large extra one on each seat to take force of the seat belt

Like Monkeynut I have a 3/8 socket set with the usual standard sized torx bits (came from Lidl/Aldi), Roll of Gaffer tape, Assorted fuses, A tyre plug kit with motorcycle cig lighter pump kept under bed in one of those little cheap plastic tool boxes in the hope of keeping going and touch wood never needed it yet .......... And if all else fails........ Euro breakdown cover that I took out last September

Unfortunately the carpet runs under them.

On closer inspection though, a few of the torx are replaced with hex bolts so they must have been out.

Definitely torx bits, allen keys, molegrips, adjustable wrench, tyre plug kit and tyreweld (I don't carry a spare tyre), battery pack with pump, soldering iron, fuses, spare crimps & wire, voltmeter, tiewraps, gaffer & double sided & velcro tape, wd40, more screwdrivers than I'll ever need, superglue, that Lidl epoxy putty, araldite, stanley knife, pliers (bull nose & needle), side cutters and (if I remember) telescopic magnetic tool. I also carry a spare oil filter & funnel on longer trips.

btw I had to dry out my front mat - took out the seats and shoved lumps of wood under to get some airflow. Ran blow heaters for a couple of days and it had little effect. Ended up buying a decent dehumidifier and that sorted it out fairly quickly.

Take a 13 and 16mm , Citroen tend not to use 14,
16mm , commonly used on M10 where 17 would be more usual.
