I ply lined the inside using some leftover sheets and carpeted inside using cheap carpet tiles.
I haven't quite figured out how to use the futon yet, it's a bit too wide and I need to create some storage under it. I'll try and turn it into a rock and roll type of bed.

I scrubbed the cab, fitted a cheap steering wheel cover its one that you sew on, very boy racer! A new gearstick gaiter and a repair to the glovebox lid. Cheap seat covers and a nice stereo that my lady friend donated (it did belong to her ex, ha not anymore!)

I'm going to keep it simple inside, sofa/bed with storage, simple 12v system with lights/usb chargers, I was given a 'Carnopy' shelter which I'll adapt to fit.

That bed is 15" tall and me being 6'2" i still had a bit head room when sitting on it. What is better than your futon idea is it gives more storage space under the bed where you have wasted apace over head. Also when bed is pulled out you have more under bed storage for any clothes or shoes you take off.
Have a read through that blog and you will also see teh cheap and easy to install split charge i bought for about 25 quid.
