Re: Swivel Plates

I ended up buying these plates. Way better than expected but anyone wanting them just watch your sizes of your seat runners and base as they are quite small. I have welded a plate to extend them for my seat base and used steel rods to extend out for runners. Ill install them tomorrow if i get the chance.

Re: Swivel Plates

It is surprising how much swivel seats open the space up.

Even in the expert bringing the cab into the living area makes quite a difference.  You could have four people seated yet all able to stand up, walk from front to rear and get in or out any door.  No squeezing past each other and no being dictated by the seating as to which way to face.  But as there is usually only two of us we each have a chaise lounge which can be used either facing forwards or back.  Having the passenger seat laid right back even allows star gazing straight up through the windscreen.

The versatility is amazing.

Looks like you might need one of these though Casper:-

Especially with the traditional scotsmans short arm problem.  wink

Re: Swivel Plates

Hoy. Nowt wrong with my arms its my pockets what are to deep.

Aye, i had a rock n roll bed in my expert but it was better to sit the tablet on that and spin the seats for the wife and me to watch TV on this also handy with a plank of wood or the likes as an extra bed for a kid. TBH the handbrake does not bother me enough to want to buy something. The simplicity of the convoy i could move it an inch or two to the left or even have it at a slight angle as i would just be moving the hole in the floor and welding in a little support. The vans are great for fabricating to your needs. Lots of wasted space underneath so if i get a trouble free year out this it will get a refit with drop down under storage and a drop safe for all my lovely €'s when we go away plus all the coke we smuggle home big_smile
