Expert - rear door latch

Hi

My rear door will not open and I have been told I need the opposite side of the latch which is a rod/bar. I don't know what this is called, so I am having trouble sourcing it.  Also websites often don't have photos, so I can't tell if it is a rod they are selling.

I would like help with the name of this part and also where I can obtain one second-hand.

Thank you for your help in advance.

Re: Expert - rear door latch

Thank you for your reply, does it look like this?  http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-Peuge … 2246793098

When I put 'rear door striker' in eBay this comes up http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Door-Lock-Str … SwBLlU55j~

Now I have a couple of photos I can show the garage. Hopefully, one of these will be right.

What door you on about that wont open, the one without the lock? If so the catch at the top and bottom from the inside will undo and adjust allowing movement to open the door. Mine was like that also till i adjusted it. The handle in the middle has a rod to the top latch and one to bottom. No way one fell out.

Re: Expert - rear door latch

Take the door card off and have a look inside! A few of my doors wouldn't open, lock etc and it was a case of pushing things into place. Theres hooks and what not, so if one disconnects then the door handle won't do anything and so on.
