Re: Peugeot Expert 55 Plate - MY VANSION

Thanks!

I got a 400W inverter with my kit, kind of customised it a bit and had a few extra mains plugs for various things. They did me a custom quote. Yeah, the 'detailed' instructions did help, but there were a few parts that were a liiiitle bit lacking.

I took it to a festival last weekend (Secret Garden Party, Amazing) and left my keys in the ignition on the first night playing tunes so ran the starter batt totally dead  tongue  big_smile  After getting a jump start in the morning I charged up again and then found out the limitations/draw of the inverter yeah. It does eat the juice, espesh when running 2 x 200W speakers off it for alot of the time (good though! lol ). I had to manage the battery a bit more consciously by running the engine intermittently, wasn't so bad, suppose when it's not in festival mode with the speakers i'll get a better feel for how much I use. Main reason for the inverter was for running laptop and camera to do tethered time lapse videos when out and about - and 400w is plenty for that.

The initial plan for the sides of the bed was to do the cladding on there too yeah, but after using it a bit I've found the access to the underneath of the bed, whilst sitting on the bed is probably worth keeping. My food box slides out nicely under the bed / at the back. I'll probably do something with it to make it more visually appealing though yeah..

If you can stomach the amazon, this is a deal on the bottle openers:

5 x Bronze for 7 quid -  one on every door!!!

Cheers bottle openers ordered. I never kept the link to the page buy there is a group that do wild festivals. How successful it is i dont know as never looked into it much.
How about hinged it the bottom drop down sides on the bed. Held up with magnets and not one large door but 2 or three and one at the rear.
As for running the van to boost the battery would you not be better with a quiet generator rather than a diesel clattering away and why not have a 2nd CD player running of the leisure battery rather than running down the main?

Sweet! Hopefully you'll get plenty of use out of the bottle openers! Yeah a geny is an option, small one mind, space is at a premium. I did get a second cd player for the leisure batt but haven't had chance / planned for a good spot to fit it yet. May do something with the sides we will see. I usually have too much crap lying around on the floor so if anything were to obstruct opening the doors etc. I can see it doing my nut in. May not bother, I like the open plan "design"

Bit of valuable extra storage, it's fine above the hob so far, as long as a pan is on, come in really handy and conveniently placed, I've got a cargo net over it now so it's a great dumping spot if I want to up sticks and move at the drop of a hat...

Yorkshire Dales - we were locked into the overflow carpark and woke up to this, immediately cooked the lamb kebabs I had in the fridge for breakfast tongue big_smile ...
