key fob, stopped working

hi guys, having a bit of a nightmare, my key fob suddenly stopped working, put a new battery in and still the same. also when i approach the van the indicators start flashing like mad, almost as if i have touched a button on the fob. open the doors with the key and all is good. where is the fob reciever ? or any other help would be great. thank you
