DW8 and DW8B injectors - are they interchangeable?

My number 4 injector has decided the engine needs a diesel wash and is spraying diesel (or in my case, vegetable oil) all over the engine bay.

Hopefully it won't need one, but if it comes to it, can I get an injector out of a DW8B and stick it in my non-ECU DW8?

I don't know is short answer
But I've never seen a(the) 3rd injector wire on mine(2005 facelift) fairly sure it's DW8B...
So from that point of view I don't see why not... unless it pops off at a higher or lower pressure
Plus a friend of mine has a 1999 Scudo with a DW8 and has stuck in a couple of XUD9 injectors (all be it temporally... That was 2yrs or more ago) can't say how it runs over all as he just dodges about locally.............................

A *third* wire? I don't have any. Just the metal injector pipes, and rubber leak off pipes.

Really? I heard that the DW8 head has a lot in common with the 1.5 TUD they put in 106s/Saxos as opposed to the block which is more XUD9-y. I'm surprised XUD9 ones fit, but maybe it's because the DW8 fuel pump has more in common with the XUD9. I'm sure it was a temporary fix that he's totally going to get round to fixing smile
