water leak

scudo 2006 1.9 jtd
we have a water leak..........started yesterday while in wales......limp home temp on 88 & no warning light

but the leak is worse when the engine is off... (facing van) seems to be left side of the rad & big hose is dry

Does it have two radiators ?

Re: water leak

scudo 2006 1.9 jtd

1 is the intercooler

Unless I'm mistaken, the only 1.9s with turbos, and therefore intercoolers, were the XUD9s, which stopped being produced in 2000.

Could you confirm? What cc is your engine?

kenwb:-I think you are correct ............ I believe the designation 1.9JTD  is Fiat's turbo D that was fitted to Doblos, Alfas and also Vectras, Astras, Zafiras E.T.C.

As the Scudo is effectively a re-badged PSA product....... if it is a 1.9 it'll have a DW8 (non turbo)............. if it is turbo charged it should on an 06 van be the 2.0L HDI variant  and I'm not so sure which would have a Inter-cooler (I'd presume higher output versions)

I also believe only some FIAT SCUDO's with the petrol option differed by actually having a FIAT engine
