Fun in the Sun!

As mentioned in a previous post we missed getting away on our jolly last September to visit my partner's father who is living in Spain............
Because of a long standing and the recurrence of health issue and as life often throws up..... Other stuations beyond anyone's control .........unable to journey down to Spain this month (Back up plan)........................

The van therefore since last  MOT (August) has stood about forlornly doing next to nothing but turning greenish at the back of the yard..............
Hence some growth of a disconcerting blister or two on the rear end of the sills and the discovery that my Leisure battery expired although the elec hook up was in place it seems charger didn't maintain that battery (or was on it's last legs) but vans own battery started it fine............
After an initial once over ........... It seems  standing through winter and up until a month or so ago did it absolutely it seems no favours what so ever.........
Other ailments noted are small oil leak from rear of rocker cover..... appears to be down on a glow plug (3's good enough just now although I have a new set sitting)........Drivers side brake caliper a little sticky .........And noticing tyres fronts especially getting down and needing replaced before any decent long ventures......

Deciding as it my partners birthday in May and not to waste/postpone another trip we set off (localy tongue ) to the South coast  and spent a few days with family in Brighton area
Half day visit to Arundel castle.......
We then stopped/visited just around corner from Butlins on the prom in Bognor..........
and then we spent a day at Portsmouth Historical Dockyard

Only ever seen Two of these in France and one of them was UK registered

(sorry  no idea what Im doing wrong here)

This little Boat (HMS  M33) was used in the Gallipoli peninsula Campaign

We were going to visit the arty farty craft shops in Cosham on the Thursday but were dissuade from going as when we were told they were getting ready for the Mutiny Festival over bank holiday week end.......

Van has now managed just shy of 2000mls since MOT............. and Still has a little weep from rocker cover........tyres have about 2.2 mil left and the front caliper is needing looked at again as it has the most anoying squeek occasionally (Found out a wire had been knocked off feed to Leisure battery and was also failing to charge from alternator)
Other than that it ran just great no issues .......................... unless not fitting in multi storey car park is included

I did wonder how you spelt Harr. To lazy to google it big_smile I presume you are in the pub again, did you see how fast that came in tonight? It was like the start of the 60's film The Incredible Shrinking Man.
