Single Passenger Seat

Hi all.
In have removed the double passenger seat and need advice on what single seats would fit my 2005 Scudo JTD. Don't mind if it needs new holes drilling.
Any help appreciated
Cheers Derek

Re: Single Passenger Seat

There is a single seat for these vans. Quite rare and good luck finding one with the same trim or,,,, almost any seat from a car with flat runners and you will need to make a base. It cost me £30 for the 3cm box steel to make two for my van (Not my expert i managed to find a standard single seat) I got two Vauxhall Corsa seats for 50 quid on ebay and used them.

You could still have matching seats by changing your drivers but you will need to use your standard base what sits lower at the back so i dont know how that will feel. Passengers, just measure heights and make your base accordingly. Drill through floor missing fuel lines and wiring chuck in drop bolts and use load bearing plates under van to keep MOT man happy

Re: Single Passenger Seat

I robbed mine from my Citroen Synergie - any of the car equivalents (Synergie, 806, Ulysee) will be a drop in replacement.

There are some swivel seat versions, if you get lucky enough to find them.

Re: Single Passenger Seat

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FRONT-SEATS- … 1438.l2649     heres a pair of single seats on eBay, but a bit bloody pricey if you ask me yikes  they are rare to find though sad they do look to be in decent condition too tbh, might be worth it especially if you get the seat base with the passenger seat smile

Re: Single Passenger Seat

Something that occurred to me, surely a driver's seat should fit in the passenger side, in terms of bolts in the floor.

Only problem I can see if getting the seat belt clip on the right side.

Worst case scenario, get one from Europe. But only if you can't find a way to sort the seat belt.

Re: Single Passenger Seat

I have just come on to the forum. I was going to ask the same question that Kenbw2 posed.

Looking at the seat, the seatbelt is bolted to the seat bottom frame. Also I think the hand brake is bolted to the other side frame.
Anyone done this please?

You both make a valid point .............. But surely the hand brake lever can be removed ...........I'd have more of a thought that it may be a mirror image of N/S and not exactly on the square......They may not be sided and hence the available bolt holes that mine has utilised....................

As my van has a single passenger seat and fitted swivel option..............................
However the seat belt socket? Has been unbolted and repositioned to the seat bottom frame? (floor mount) close to the floor to regain strength and not impose the load required on swivel mount should that situation arise................

My swivel mount was in-house produced to try and keep profile lower even if by a few MM....................

Mounting belt receiver (socket) closer to floor does require the seat belt to extend a little farther and also fold flat to floor so as not to foul swivel operation ...........................

This probibly shows better what I mean.............

The red gaffer tape (only colour I had at time) is to try protect plastic as we don't always remember to check if it out the way
